In light of the great success of the last edition of the free courses organised as part of the “Smeralda Holding for the Community” programme of activities, the company belonging to the Qatar Holding Group, owner of the most important tourist assets on the Costa Smeralda, has decided to continue with its English courses, offering a further 30 hours of lessons, opening enrolments for residents of Arzachena and Olbia. The initiative, which was set up with the aim of identifying, offering and organising projects that provide tangible benefits for the communities, improving the quality of free time, work and the environment, reached a record number of participants in the most recent edition.
The online English courses organised by the “Smeralda Language Academy” and active since December 2021 have seen the participation of more than 250 students. Smeralda Holding has therefore decided to continue with the courses under way with another 30 hours of lessons, and to open enrolments for another 70 participants, who will be able to take part in the study programme set out over a number of levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. The lessons are held by qualified mother-tongue teachers from “The English School”, an authorised Trinity College of London exam centre certified by the Ministry of Public Education.
The free tennis courses at the Cervo Tennis Club, which recommenced with this edition following the stop imposed by the pandemic, have also been a great success, with more than 70 participants including both adults and children aged 8 and upwards. Again in this case, Smeralda Holding has decided to open enrolments for another 30 participants who will be able to acquire basic tennis skills thanks to the professional masters from the Italian Tennis Federation holding the courses managed by Smeralda Racquets & Sport Management.
Participation in the courses is free of charge for residents of Arzachena and Olbia, and the limited number of places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to apply for participation in the courses, write to:
