This certification includes both ESG Rating, which measures sustainability performance and risks, and ESG Reporting, which ensures transparent disclosure in line with international standards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The port facility, located in the heart of Costa Smeralda&#8217;s tourist area, accommodates approximately 600 berths and is capable of hosting vessels up to 160 meters, ranging from local recreational boats to large yachts, catering to a client\u00e8le that is 60% international and typically moor at the port for an average of 30 days. A benchmark for luxury yachting, Marina di Porto Cervo is set against an exceptional natural backdrop, managed by Consorzio Costa Smeralda\u00ae, stretching over 3,144 hectares, 96.3% of which consists of natural green landscape, and a coastline spanning around 55 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The international certification was awarded following the adoption of the sector-specific model for the Tourist Ports supply chain &#8211; in accordance with the ISO 17029 FidESG\u00ae scheme approved by ACCREDIA &#8211; through which Porto Cervo Marina reports, manages, and communicates ESG (environmental, social, and governance) aspects relating to its activities, annually presenting the results it achieved over the last three years, and planning future commitments. The voluntary sustainability reporting model developed by Porto Cervo Marina was approved by the third-party accredited body DNV, which issued the verification and validation certificates for compliance with ISO 17033 and UNI PdR 102 for the ESG Rating &amp; Risk Organization and for the Sustainability Report.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In line with the ESG Manifesto adopted by the Smeralda Holding Group &#8211; a company indirectly owned by Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), owner as of 2012 of real estate and land in Costa Smeralda\u00ae &#8211; , Porto Cervo Marina has long been steadfast in its commitment to enriching its nautical and tourism offer while protecting the territory, by undertaking initiatives dedicated to the preservation, care, and enhancement of the unique environment in which it operates, monitoring consumption in connection to port and construction activities, fostering the involvement of the local community, and promoting cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abTo comply with the Sustainable Port\u00ae Certification protocol \u2013 <\/em>affirms <strong>Mario Ferraro<\/strong>, <strong>CEO<\/strong> of <strong>Smeralda Holding<\/strong><em> \u2013 aligns Porto Cervo Marina with the commitment towards responsible development which the Smeralda Holding Group has pursued as a whole for many years, in harmony with the investment strategy and vision of our shareholder QIA. Some of the actions we&#8217;ve planned include raising awareness among employees and customers on the efficient use of water and energy resources, and encouraging our suppliers to adopt sustainable and safe management practices. To support this, we made a mobile unit available to our customers to safely collect and transfer on-board waste to treatment facilities. We have involved local schools to raise awareness among the youth on socially relevant issues, such as environmental protection and the protection of the sea.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Certification also commits the Marina to improving services and the operational efficiency of port activities, promoting local culture through sponsorships and donations to support organizations that work in promoting social, sporting, and environmental activities; in 2025 alone, under this umbrella, the Smeralda Holding Group invested over 700,000 Euro.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the activities promoted by the Group include the <strong>Smeralda Holding Blue Day<\/strong>, a day dedicated to the clean-up of the seabed of Porto Cervo&#8217;s Marina Nuova and Porto Vecchio, and in 2025 the Group hosted the Sardinian stage of the <strong>Blue Marina Awards<\/strong>, a Blue Economy event that brings together institutions, businesses, and innovators to chart the course for the future of tourist ports, with sustainability as a guiding principle.
