English, French and German language lessons are starting up again with the \u201cSmeralda Language Academy\u201d online courses.

Smeralda Holding – a company belonging to the Qatar Holding Group and owner of the principal tourist assets on the Costa Smeralda – has always based its strategies on respect for the local area and its traditions, on development of local communities and on environmental protection. In order to ensure that this commitment remains a constant priority, and in order to play an integral role in the local community and contribute to its social development, for a number of years the Group has set up an intensive programme of activities called \u201cSmeralda Holding for the Community\u201d<\/strong>, with the aim of identifying, proposing and organising projects to benefit the community, improving the quality of free time, work and the environment<\/strong>. It is a commitment that, bearing in mind the specific needs of the area, has managed to evolve and develop over the years, even during a period as complex as that affected by the pandemic, with the introduction of online language courses.<\/p>\n

Considering the record number of participants in the last edition of e-learning courses, Smeralda Holding has presented a new, intense programme for the \u201cSmeralda Language Academy\u201d<\/strong>. Beginning in December and for the entire month of January, the programme offers online courses for adults and children <\/strong>(from year 2 to year 5 of primary school), subdivided into various levels<\/strong>, from beginner to advanced. The programme also reproposes French and German courses for adults<\/strong>, which are in high demand following the success of past editions.\u00a0 The courses will be held by qualified mother-tongue teachers from \u201cThe English School\u201d<\/strong>, an authorised Trinity College of London exam centre certified by the Ministry of Public Education.<\/p>\n

In-person sports courses<\/strong> are also recommencing, in full observance of anti-COVID-19 protocols set out by current regulations.<\/p>\n

Following the success of previous editions, from December and for the entire winter season, adults and children resident in the municipalities of Arzachena and Olbia will once again have the opportunity to take part in the extremely popular golf courses held at the prestigious Pevero Golf Club<\/strong>, gaining experience on the green together with professional instructors. The lessons last for one hour and will take place on a weekly basis, with participants divided into groups of 5 (juniors from 8 to 14 and adults from the age of 15 upwards).<\/p>\n

December will also see the beginning of tennis lessons at the Cervo Tennis Club, which will continue throughout the winter.<\/strong> The courses – for adults and children aged 8 years upwards – will be managed by Smeralda Racquets & Sport Management <\/strong>and held by professional instructors from the Italian Tennis Federation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
